One of us came to Lakeside many summers as a child and one of us did not. The latter is trying to make up for lost time and the former is happy to help. That's him walking along a river on a recent family expedition. That’s me walking along the Lakeside beach less recently as we were expecting our first child. There are four children now and luckily they love Lakeside like we do and we spend as much time here as we can. We also love riddles, puzzles and hidden messages, hunting for useful/semi-magical items at every kind of second-hand sale, practicing our shortest game, walking our cartoon dog, and keeping Marylin on her candy inventory toes.
Our house is named partly for its Khaki Scout tallness and partly in honor of another waterfront town not traditionally but sometimes visited on honeymoons. And maybe a Van Morrison song. If you can name the town, I'll owe you a perfect rock for painting or handful of salt-water taffy, you can choose.
